PROJECT
Portland Conference

CLIENT
National Marfan Foundation

With a venue in Portland, OR, the graphics for this organization’s 27th annual conference featured Mt. Hood and a type treatment reminiscient of 1930's travel posters, the era in which the rustic WPA-sponsored Timberline Lodge was built.

Materials produced included registration forms, schedules, workshop and speaker descriptions, signage and an awards program.

Scheduled to begin on International Human Rights Day, designs for this conference featured excerpts from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in English and Hebrew. Materials produced included a registration brochure, flyers, signage, print ads and a 28-page program.

The conference also featured an awards dinner, To Do What Is Just & Right, for which complementary invitations, posters and a journal were produced.

PROJECT
Human Rights Under Fire

CLIENT
Rabbis for Human Rights - North America

A bold type treatment using a distressed font suited the theme of this conference, Human Rights Under Fire: A Jewish Call to Action.

Shown at right are the registration postcard, the cover and one page from the 32-page program, a poster featuring co-sponsor logos, and an online banner ad.

PROJECT
International Symposium on Marfan Syndrome

CLIENT
National Marfan Foundation

A self-mailing brochure promoting this international symposium on a rare medical condition was designed to be low-key and conservative, borrowing its color palate from the venue’s historic main building.

A matching cover, program, index and select other pages were designed to complete a book featuring 100+ pages of research abstracts.

PROJECT
Fair Work

CLIENT
Center for Family Life

Woodcut-style illustrations based on photographs animated materials for three annual symposia. I suggested the title, Fair Work, to reflect their focus on of worker-owned cooperative businesses.

PROJECT
Generation Y Studies Abroad

CLIENT
Council on International Educational Exchange

A circuit board superimposed on leaves suited the theme of this annual conference: Global, High Tech and Environmentally Aware. Materials were printed in green and metallic silver and included three brochures, a postcard, posters, print ads and a 24-page program.
